Founded in 1960, Datong Special Education School in Shanxi is constructed by the government with a land occupation of 10,000 square meters and an overall floorage of 4,100 square meters. The school now has 80 teaching and administrative staff, including 60 teachers, 80% of whom have an education above junior college. At present, the school has four teaching levels, namely preschool education, primary education, middle school education and high middle school education and its teaching objects are blind men and deaf people. It has 23 teaching classes and 260 enrolled students.
